ABS Insulating Co., Inc. seeks an experienced and talented Sales Professional to join our Charlotte, NC team. You'll find that our team consists of talented, dedicated people who share a sense of enthusiasm and pride! The Sales Consultant is primarily responsible for executing on sales objectives, generating and qualifying new business opportunities, and promoting, selling, supporting and increasing market share by:
  • Recommending products, materials and services based on customers' needs and interests
  • Providing product knowledge and expertise to current and potential customers
  • Working the majority of time outside of the office conducting sales calls, providing proposals, generating new business leads, account management
  • Developing and growing positive working relationships with prospects and customers
  • Processing bids and follow-thru with customer to close the sale
  • Working with Management to identify sales strategies and to develop and implement a marketing plan.

Description
The Spray Foam Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination of installing spray foam insulation in commercial buildings, residential homes, etc. to the required specifications. The perfect candidate for the position needs to be flexible and willing to install all products as well as manage three locations, Charlotte NC, Myrtle Beach SC and Charleston SC.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for P& L
  • Hire, train, evaluate, discipline, and coach crew leads, and skilled labor; analyze and resolve worker problems.
  • Analyze and plan work-flow
  • Create and/or review daily schedules
  • Conduct safety meetings
  • Serve as main contact for construction projects to sales representatives, builders, other trades, inspectors, sub-contractors and employees.
  • Maintain appropriate communication and satisfactory customer relations
  • Ensure staff compliance with OSHA, DOL, DOT rules and regulations, standard building codes and company policies.
  • Manage labor; analyze job cost reports.
  • Oversee all inventory control procedures including daily in and out, scrap usage, monthly physical inventory and inventory audits.
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure specifications and quality standards are met; conduct pre-walk of job sites, as required.
  • Coordinate and communicate with inspectors in connection with city inspections.
  • Inspect equipment; maintain vehicle service records and make recommendation to management on capital purchases.

The Spray Foam Operations Manager will be cross-training Spray Foam Applicators in several departments to further their growth and provide them with more job opportunities. Departments that applicators may be crossed in may include:
  • Spray Foam
  • Batting
  • Retro

Qualifications
  • Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely at all times. Understand and can follow OSHA/NIOSHA safety guidelines as well as the SPFA safety guidelines.
  • Have a valid driver’s license, with a clean and clear driving record for the past three (3) years. (No moving violations, or driving incidents!)
  • SPFA PCP Certified Master Applicator extremely desired, but not required.
  • ACC/PCI – online safety training (pass rate of 100%) ABAA certification helpful.
  • Care about providing excellent service and top-quality work.
  • Can work independently, and with little to no supervision.

Spray Foam Insulation Installer  – will be responsible for spraying into the exterior wall and attics before drywall, paneling or plaster wall are put in place.

Duties Include:
  • Loads and logs materials onto truck and makes notation of returned materials
  • Erects ladders and scaffolds
  • Checks netting for areas that may need blocking, and prepares machine by checking oil, belts and obstructions
  • Operates equipment that injects foam insulation by carrying/holding a hose up to 150 feet long and weigh up to 56 lbs.
  • Climbs ladders and crawls in attics frequently throughout the day
  • Checks density in wall areas
  • Other duties as assigned
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools, including tape measure, laser level, and drill
  • Able to climb up and down a ladder
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to perform basic math skills and read a tape measure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work in tight and confined places like attics and crawlspaces
  • Able to work independently and or with a crew
  • Valid driver’s license to drive a company vehicle, preferred
  • Foam insulation workers must be able to use common hand tools—trowels, brushes, knives, scissors, saws, pliers, and stapling hammer, as well as operate the equipment that injects foam insulation.
  • Foam insulation workers must be able to read job instructions and record materials to work order.
  • Workers must be able to work in tight places or in high places from ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding repeatedly in a day.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, twist and turn body at shoulders, waist and knees with spray hose in hand.
  • Works in a construction environment; able to adapt to weather conditions.
Position requires a Motor Vehicle Report to be completed, contingent upon employment.
